Get Involved in Chamber Committees

Through committee involvement, members have the opportunity to affect change in areas specific to their business and make important business contacts. Committee Meetings are held at the Chamber Conference Room unless otherwise noted. If you are interested in participating in any of these committees, use our online committee application to submit your request.

Ambassadors Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.
• Limited to chamber members only
• Staff contact: Office Manager

Customer service arm of the Chamber. Welcomes, greets and introduces new members at Chamber fundraising events, monthly mixers, ribbon cuttings and community events. Read more about the Ambassador commitee >>

Board of Directors

• Meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 8:00 a.m.
• Limited to elected chamber members only

These business and community leaders are advocates for the Palo Alto community. They represent a cross section of businesses from the standpoints of sector and size, and bring a wise collective insight and high caliber of expertise to their positions while generously volunteering their time. Events Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 12:00 noon
• Limited to chamber members only
• Staff contact: Programs, Events and Marketing Manager

Oversight on all programs and events. Decide on mixer venues. Discuss ways to increase participation for events. View the Chamber Event Calendar >>

Executive Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
• Limited to elected chamber members only
• Staff contact: President and CEO

Finance Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Wednesday at noon
• Limited to chamber members only
• Staff contact: Data and Publications Manager

Oversight on annual budget, review monthly finances. Present monthly finances to board.

Government Action Council

• Meets monthly on the 4th Thusday at 8:00 a.m.
• Staff contact: President and CEO

Monitors local government actions and policies plus maintains communication with local and regional officials; develops positions on city, county and state issues impacting business community; interacts with and provides input to city on matters regarding economic development; actively supports and assists in implementing key projects that involve business attraction, retention and expansion.

Membership Committee

• Meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
• Limited to chamber members only

Create a stronger membership base for the Chamber. Evaluate member benefits to ensure that the Chamber offers high quality services that fit the needs of our members. This includes development, retention, events, and communications.

Parking & Transportation Committee

• Meets monthly on the 3rd Tuesday at noon
• Limited to chamber members only
• Staff contact: President and CEO

Advocates on behalf of business community for parking and transportation improvements in downtown Palo Alto and other designated areas; coordinates efforts with city officials and staff.
