Get Involved in Chamber Committees

Through committee involvement, members have the opportunity to affect change in areas specific to their business and make important business contacts. Committee Meetings are held at the Chamber Conference Room unless otherwise noted. If you are interested in participating in any of these committees, use our online committee application to submit your request.

Ambassadors Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the Cardinal Lounge Sheraton Hotel
• Limited to Chamber members only

Board of Directors

• Meets monthly on the 3rd Thursday at 8:30 a.m. Comerica Bank
• Limited to elected chamber members only

Events Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 5:00pm, call 324-3121 x127 for location
• Limited to chamber members only

Executive Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber

Finance Committee

• Meets monthly on the 1st Monday at 8:30am at the Chamber
• Limited to Chamber members only

Oversight on annual budget, review monthly finances. Present monthly finances to board.

Government Action Council

• Meets monthly on the 1st Wednesday at 8:30am at Comerica.
• Committee Chair: Skip Justman

Monitors local government actions and policies plus maintains communication with local and regional officials; develops positions on city, county and state issues impacting business community; interacts with and provides input to city on matters regarding economic development; actively supports and assists in implementing key projects that involve business attraction, retention and expansion.

Membership Committee

• Meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.

Create a stronger membership base for the Chamber. Evaluate member benefits to ensure that the Chamber offers high quality services that fit the needs of our members. This includes development, retention, events, and communications.

Palo Alto Business Goes Green Committee

• Meets monthly on the 2nd Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.

Parking & Transportation Committee

• Meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 12:30pm at Thoits Law Offices
• Limited to Chamber members only

Advocates on behalf of business community for parking and transportation improvements in downtown Palo Alto and other designated areas; coordinates efforts with city officials and staff.
